• 1 tbsp. of olive oil
• 1 large onion (diced)
• 3-4 cloves of garlic (minced)
• 2 cans (796 mL) of crushed tomatoes
• 1 tbsp. of sugar or honey
• ¼cup of fresh basil (chopped) or tbsp of dried basil
• Salt and pepper to taste
Saute the onion in oil over medium-high heat until soft. Add garlic and saute
briefly, then stir in tomatoes, sugar and seasonings. Simmer 20-30 minutes.
Bring large pot of water to a rolling boil. Add a generous amount of salt, and
add 1 package Kamut spaghetti, cook 8-10 minutes, until al dente.
