It seems like the nightmares are continuing after the scariest night of the year.
Needles have been found in 6 different Halloween candy bars around North Bay! North Bay Police are reminding residents to check their Halloween candy.
It seems like this Canadian city was handing out tricks rather than treats because of the tainted candies that were found. Needles had been shoved right through the package and into the candy bar itself.
One mother after looking through her 2 year olds candy posted on Facebook Never in a million years ever thought I’d ever actually see one, but here it is, a sewing needle in a coffee crisp bar!”
Police are coming to pick up the needle filled candies as evidence. They seemed to have narrowed down the where the tainted candy was coming from. They are suspecting that it is coming from a house near the Ferguson Street area.
North Bay Constable, John Schultz, is reminding parents to check their candies for unusual wrapping like discolouration, deflation or rips. If you find contaminants in your candy please contact and report it to the police at 705-497-1234.
