Ready to step away from the computer and into the kitchen? Bonnie Gordon College of Confectionary Arts wants to show you how.
At the age of 44, Bonnie Gordon made a complete 180. Changing her career from museum administrator to top cake designer, she’s proof that it’s never too late to go after that dream of a second career.
Since making the switch, Gordon enjoyed the spotlight as a top cake designer, garnering awards and celebrity commissions. Almost 20 years later, as director of Bonnie Gordon College of Confectionary Arts, she is showing students how to follow their own sweet dreams. From the bright, modern college in midtown Toronto, Gordon tells us, “You want different things at different times in your life. Never feel like it’s too late to pursue your dreams.”
Founded in 2004 — a registered private career college since 2007 — courses offered span the breadth of baking, confectionary, and pastry arts from fashioning delicate sugar flowers, to designing fabulous wedding cakes, to baking rustic breads.
From their fun and popular three-hour Short and Sweet workshops to their widely respected full- and part-time diploma and certificate programs, students acquire the real-world, hands-on experience, they’ll need to confidently turn a passion into a profession.
