Just when you thought Toronto couldn’t get any more artsy, glam or cool we get a a tunnel made of 14 million sequins!
This cool glitz tunnel is being set up at the intersection of Yonge and St. Clair (1501 Yonge St. tucked behind the Shoppers Drugmart) and it will be known as the “Tunnel of Glam.” The Tunnel of Glam is 80 feet long and will be filled with millions of coloured sequences that will create an interactive and stimulating experience. You can run your hands across the walls and watch as the sequences change colour.
The tunnel will be opened to the public December 1st and visitors can walk through it from 7am-11pm. Make sure to visit the Tunnel of Glam because the installation will be up until December 31!
The installation was designed by the local art collective Studio F Minus that strives to create public art that sparks conversation.
