The Fire and Ice Festival is back!
Canadians know a thing or two when it comes to embracing the cold winter months. We can take something that seems miserable to the rest of the world and turn it into a festival of fun! A perfect example of this is the Fire and Ice Festival in Bracebridge.
The Festival incorporates both “fire” and “ice” themes. One of the main focal points of the “ice” theme is the transformation of their downtown area into a tubing hill! Yes their main road downtown gets transformed into a two-lane snow tubing hill…talk about epic!
The festival will also have a skating trail, road hockey tournament, and vendors handing out delicious themed Canadian treats like beaver tails and maple syrup on a stick. It doesn’t get ore Canadian than this!
The event is set to take place on January 26. To learn more about the event you can visit their website at http://www.fireandicebracebridge.com/home.html.
